The Beauty Of Crystals

Crystals – fragile and strong; equally mythical and of the earth; functional and decorative – are a solid material, often clear but sometimes colored, that are formed from chemicals that becomes solidified. Crystals can be identified by their lead content which adds a weight to the material while also making it softer than other material. Because of this pliability, those manufacturers who deal with crystals have the ability to mold them into various shapes and cut them to reflect light in different ways. This versatility lends crystals to a variety of functions.

Many believe strongly in the healing and meditative power of crystals and use them in a variety of holistic ways. Crystals have been used since ancient times to promote spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being. Because of this, many people choose to assemble different crystals in areas of their home as a way to foster peace, health, and prosperity. Further, for spiritual purposes, many use crystals to meditate finding that they bring them tranquility and focus. Still others choose to wear crystals close to them at all times to partake in their healing powers. Not only do crystals used as fashion jewelry keep their powers close to the physical body, their beauty transforms an outfit and infuses a wardrobe with personal style.

But the versatility of crystals doesn’t stop there; because of their functional weight and decorative brilliance, crystals have long been used in the manufacturing of beautiful household items including wine glasses, serving platters and bowls, picture frames, and vases.

Crystals in any form can be found everywhere from jewelry stores to high-end department stores. Holistic centers offer crystals for sale for a multitude of purposes. And there are online resources that also offer crystals for sale.

Crystals are both weighty and beautiful. Whether you use them for healing, functional uses, or decorative purposes, you will find crystals to be a beautiful and important addition to your life.

Using Quilting Tools To Make A Beautiful Quilt

The art of quilting goes back generations; a skill passed from mother to daughter and family to family. A quilt can instantly evoke a wonderful memory or a long-gone loved one; the threads of a quilt can be the threads that bind one time in history to another. Those who quilt do so with an unrivaled passion – and the expert handling of quilting tools to accomplish their task.

The modern quilt maker has the choice of doing so by hand or using any one of the contemporary machines that have given quilt making an easier, more convenient alternative. There is no right answer when it comes to machine versus hand; whichever method is more comfortable for the quilter becomes part of their quilting tools of choice.

Quilting tools are largely dependent on the quilt maker’s personal style. For those who prefer the traditional hand sewing like the quilts of yesteryear, then there a few quilting tools that are par for the course, such as a ruler, sewing scissors, quilting pins, measuring tape, quilting thread in the colors that match or complement your fabric, needles, and for the safety conscious among us – a thimble.

Ultimately, the most important of the quilting tools is the fabric that the quilt maker chooses. The style, color, and texture of the fabric will determine the look and feel of the final product; while traditional quilt makers would choose their fabric based on the scraps they had available to them, today’s quilters choose fabric largely based on the use of the quilt. Soft pastels are often used for baby quilts, bolder colors are often used to complement a room where the quilt will be hung, or different blocks of fabric are used to commemorate special events. The choices are virtually endless when it comes to choosing fabric.

Modern quilt makers find the use of a pattern or template to be an essential part of their quilting tools. Such items help guide novice quilters and provide a bevy of new ideas for experienced quilt makers.

Quilting tools are varied, and ultimately, are very personal to the quilt enthusiast’s tastes and style of working. But, the end result is all the same – a beautiful quilt to be enjoyed for generations to come.

Reincarnation And Past Life Regression

Sometimes we ask ourselves : Why am I here? Where did I come from? What happens when I die?

One way to look at it, is when we examine the process of sleeping, dreaming and waking, it resembles closely of the process of death, intermediate state, and rebirth. When we experience deep sleep, to others we look like a dead person, finally when we wake up, our normal powers of memory and mental control are restored and our dream world disappears leaving us with the way we perceive the world in the waking state. A similar process occurs when we die, some say, the experience of the clear light of death maybe similar to the experience of deep sleep.

Reincarnation is the belief that when someone dies, that person is reborn in another body. People have different beliefs about reincarnation, one of them is that, we do not necessary come back as human. One may have been a spider in a past life, and one may be a carrot or a parrot, so make sure you’re careful about what you are treading on in the future.

Some monks meditate all day long to achieve the state of ultimate bliss (nirvana) in order to escape from the wheel of rebirth. You can prepare yourself in this life to be as sinless as possible so you can come back as a person, according to some believers. Some people are able to regress to a past life under Hypnosis, recalling different reincarnation cases, seeking the causes of today's problems in the experiences of previous life, explaining sometimes that strange phenomena.

With Karma, Reincarnation could explain why good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people, could it be that we are being rewarded or punished for past lives actions? Most of us have experience déja-vu, which could be interpreted as memories of past lives, when dreaming could be seen as a soul travel and memory.

For me, I think it is very comforting to think that way, it makes death not that scary anymore.
All the answers are within us. Though even when we come to the realization that the answers are within us, we rarely know how to access them. Perhaps it is helpful to view every event as just an event, instead of treating everything as good or bad. This may be a disassociated way of learning to notice the positive in everything.

How is Past-Life Regression achieved ?

Past-Life Regression can be obtained with a Hypnotherapy technique that can connect you with one or more previous lives, which are relevant to a certain problem or concern. It also allows us to go deeper and see beyond the confusion and illusions of life and offer a healing of the past life that resonates into our current life. The purpose of a Past-Life Regression is to be in position to take the journey into accessing the hidden memories of the subconscious mind, not only from the present life, but also from all the lives we have lived are stored. For the therapy to work, the client needs to believe in reincarnation, as they recall everything during the session, the client maybe given a post-hypnotic suggestions to remember what has occurred.

Chronic medical problems such as asthma, allergies, Headache and much more may respond very well to past life therapy, to eliminate physical or emotional pain is one of the reasons a person may choose to regress, some will be to diminish the fear of death or maybe to explain recurring and unexplained dreams.

The reason why I choose to express a glimpse of reincarnation and past lives regression is simply because when I was younger I suffered terribly from Death anxiety, and to my surprise, lots of people are. So my strategy today is to have faith in that way of life, which makes it more meaningful and comforting.

There can be endless reasons why people are afraid to die. Death anxiety is common in everyday life and could happen because of some past traumatic event, that still affect in some profound way.

Anyway, Hypnosis can be a useful tool in exploring past lives, going through a healing journey involving the experience of an altered psychological state, which allows anyone to be more in touch and responsive to inner experiences, by tuning into various levels of awareness normally not accessible to the conscious mind. To gather information about past lives, hypnosis is by no means the only method that allows us to rediscover ourselves.

When past behaviour patterns are dealt with releasing blocked emotions, and guilt, giving us the opportunity to experience insights and freedom, we might even become master of our own destiny.

So beware of the dog, it could be your mother- in- law in a previous life!

Craft Table And Storage Options For Crafters

Anyone who is serious about crafting knows – all the supplies that accumulate take up a lot of space. We tend to throw it all together in boxes, containers, or closets to get it out of the way when we aren’t using it. Then when we're at our craft table, in need of a certain something, it is no where to be found! Here are some helpful ways to keep the clutter down and find the craft table that is right for you.

Some are lucky enough to have a craft room with a permanent craft table in it. For those of us that aren't so lucky, the kitchen table usually does the trick. It is not wise to use the kitchen table, however, because of the risk of damage.

When you are using glues, paints, or sharp objects like knives or scissors, your kitchen table can pay the price.

As an alternative, consider using a folding table. You can find sturdy, durable folding tables in a variety of sizes and for a variety of prices. I have even seen a very creative suggestion including sawhorses and a flat-surface door. Use adjustable sawhorses as the legs of your table. Use the door as the top. For added protection, you can seal the door. The advantage to folding tables, or the sawhorse table, is that they can be taken down and stored under beds or in closets when not in use.

When you are purchasing or setting up your craft table keep in mind that certain shapes are easier to work in, a T shape, a U shape, or an L shape. As an example, you could put one long folding table against the wall and put another shorter table or ironing board perpendicular to the end of the table (to make an L shape). Then, you have what you need within close range.

You can also purchase desks or craft tables that are already in an L shape. Another idea for ease of use while working, buy a plastic mat made to go under a desk, and an office chair with rollers. You can glide from one end of your craft table to the other!

You can use empty wall space and extra closet space to store you craft supplies. Take advantage of empty wall space by hanging shelves or peg board. If you hang hooks on the wall in front of your craft table, you can have the tools you need most often within your reach. In the closet, you can install shelves to hold containers, or you can use clothing rods to hang fabrics. When choosing containers, you should always go clear. It will help you find things easily if you can see what is in the container. Permanent or moveable cabinet units can be put under or next to your craft table for added storage.

These are just a few ideas to help you get organized. Whether you have a permanent craft table, or a do-it-yourself craft table, the right organization tactics make all the difference!

How To Make Origami

The art of paper folding has been a part of many cultures for a very long time, but it is the story of a little Japanese girl named Sadako that really brought origami into the public’s eye. The story of this dying girl and her quest to fold 1000 paper cranes in order to receive her heart’s desire, as per the Japanese legend, has been transfigured into many books and movies. The paper crane has become the most widely known symbol for origami and has motivated many people not only to learn about this beautiful art form, but also to learn how to make origami. This article offers some tips on how anyone can started making origami, and for those who already have some knowledge, how to further your origami skills.

The word origami comes from the Japanese words oru (to fold) and kami (paper), and although not all styles of paper folding originated in Japan, they are now all united under this title. Origami is defined as the creation of art through various folds and crease patterns. There are a few basic folds that are used repeatedly in most patterns, and it is essential to learn these basic folds in order to learn how to make origami. The models are created from square sheets of paper that are sold in various different colors and sizes. It is also possible to find foil-backed origami paper, two-toned origami paper, and patterned origami paper. The objects created through origami range from the simple, such as paper hats, to the extremely intricate, such as models of famous buildings or animals in motion.

If you’re looking to learn how to make origami, then the best place to start is at your local library or bookstore. There are many books available that range from very basic for those who are just starting, to advanced, for those looking to expand their knowledge and skill in this art-form. These books are offered both according to your level and according to various themes. It is possible to find books containing animals, toys, holiday themed models, or even a mixture to satisfy any origami craving you may have. These books feature step-by-step instructions, and usually include diagrams, so that anyone should feel confident enough should they choose to learn how to make origami.

The internet is also a great source for tips on how to make origami. There are thousands of patterns online, as well as forums where you can ask questions and get answers from other origami aficionados around the world. Keep in mind that origami is complicated, so it’s natural to have questions or struggle with some of the patterns. If the diagrams and the forums aren’t enough to help you learn it’s also possible to find someone in your area who is knowledgeable about origami, or to find a class. There are many people around the world who are considered to be origami professionals, and these professionals are a great help in learning how to make origami.

Robert J. Lang, who resides in Alamo, California, is one such origami professional. In fact, he has been a full-time origami artist for thirty years now, and he is considered to be one of the world’s foremost authorities on origami. He has written many books and created many models, as well as helped to put forward theories of technical origami. Technical origami is a more complicated form of origami which works from a pattern of creases to create more complex models that appear more life-like than the traditional origami patterns. Although this may seem complex, it is definitely something to work towards after having learned the basics of how to make origami, and learning from someone like Robert, who does origami full time, might be just the thing to jump-start your appreciation for this art form, as well as your skill as an origami artist.

Understanding Photographic Terms

What the heck is an F Stop?

If you're new to the photography world, some of the terms can seem confusing. All this insider information is not as confusing as it first seems. You just need to learn a few of the basics, and you are on your way to taking better pictures.

Here is a brief explanation of some of those terms, and how they affect your photographs.

Ambient Light: The natural light that is in your scene. This is also sometimes referred to as available light. Most photographers prefer to use ambient light over flash, or artificial light whenever possible. Most pro photographers will tell you that for outdoor work, the best possible light occurs twice a day- an hour before to an hour after sunrise and sunset.

Aperture: The setting on your camera that controls the amount of light that enters through the lens and reaches your camera's sensor. Think of it like an opening you control on the end of your lens. The aperture is measured in f stops, such as f5.6, f8 or f22. Apertures can be confusing in that the larger the opening, the smaller the f stop number. So in a low light situation you need to let a large amount of light into the camera, setting your camera at f5.6. If you are in a brightly lit scene, like a beach, or lots of snow on the ground, you would close down your lens to maybe f22. Small number, more light allowed into the camera, large number, less light.

Burn: Mainly thought of as burning or transferring files to a disc, but in photographic terms it refers to lightening parts of your digital photograph with an image editing program.
Buffer: Part of a memory chip in your camera that holds the digital information as it is being written to the memory card.

CCD: Charged Couple Device, the sensor in your camera that captures the visual information and converts it into digital information.

Contrast: The difference between the brightest part of your photograph and the darkest part. The more extreme the two, the greater the contrast.

Depth of Field: The amount of your photograph that is in clear focus. Depending on how you set your aperture, you can control if the entire image is in full focus, or just a selected portion.

Digital zoom: A function of the camera where the zoom is created through a digital process as opposed to an optical zoom which is controlled by the camera lens. Most pros avoid using digital zoom, as the image produced tends to be noisy, showing a lot of grain, or fuzziness in the image.

Dodging: A step used when editing your photos in a program such as Photoshop. Dodging allows you to lighten selective areas of your photograph. You may want to dodge a part of your image that is hidden in deep shade.

Download: Electronically transferring your images from your camera to your computer.

DPI: Dots per Inch. A measurement of the resolution of your photo. The higher the DPI number, the greater the resolution of your photograph.

Flash: The device included with your camera that adds light to a scene that is too dark to expose a proper picture without the help of artificial light.

Fill Flash: A technique to use your flash to lighten deep shadows, usually caused by strong sunlight when shooting outdoors. Many photographers will use fill flash to brighten shadows when shooting close ups of plants or flowers outdoors in sunny conditions.

Highlights: The brightest parts of your photograph.

Histogram: A graphical chart that is produced on the LCD viewfinder of most higher end digital cameras showing a breakdown of the different light and dark areas of your photograph. Many pros judge the quality of their photographs from the histogram over simply looking at the photograph.

Image Browser: A computer application that allows you to view small, thumbnail images of all the photographs stored on your computer.

Image Editor: A computer program that allows you to digitally edit your photographs. Image editing programs will do everything from exposure and color correcting your photographs, to blending multiple images together, or adding titles and special effects. The program used most by professionals is Adobe Photoshop®. A great program for amateur enthusiasts is Photoshop Elements®, a slightly stripped down version of the full program.

ISO: A gage of setting how sensitive your camera is to light. Most digital cameras today will allow you to change the ISO from anywhere from a setting of 100 up to 1600. The lower you can keep the ISO, the better your images will look. As you increase the ISO, your images start to look more grainy.

JPEG: A specific type of digitally stored image. For the geek, JPEG is short for Joint Photographic Experts Group. The two main form of compression used for digital cameras are JPEG, and a super high format called RAW. All point and shoot cameras save images in the JPEG format.

LCD: Liquid Crystal Display, the small screen on your camera that functions both as a viewfinder, and a screen to review the photos taken.

Megapixel: A unit of measurement that equals one million pixels. When a camera boasts it is a 5 megapixel, that simple means the image taken will contain 5 million pixels. The more megapixels used, the higher the resolution of the image.

Optical Zoom: This is the control you have for your lens based on the optical properties of the lens as opposed to having to digitally enhance the image. Optical zoom settings do not affect the quality of your image.

Panning: A photographic technique that is used to follow a moving subject. Think of standing on the sidelines during a soccer game. As the player runs past you, from left to right, you follow him in the viewfinder. This technique when done properly will show the player in focus, and the background blurred, because the camera was moving while the shutter was open.

Red Eye: This is the dreaded red glow we often see coming from people's eyes when we use a flash. The red we see is actually a reflection of blood vessels behind the retina of the eye. Many camera today have a red eye reduction feature, that fires a pre flash before the main flash. What this does is cause the iris of our eye to quickly close, reducing the amount of light that gets past the retina. Many editing packages also have red eye removal functions if the camera wasn't able to do the job.

Rule of Thirds: A way to compose your image to make it more visually attractive. Mentally divide your photograph into thirds, and place the main subject matter in one of the thirds, as opposed to dead center.

Saturation: How much or little color there is in a photograph.

Shutter Speed: How long the image sensor is exposed to light. A shutter speed of 1/60 means the aperture is open for 1/60th of a second. 1/400 obviously means it is only open for 1/400th of a second. Shutter speed and aperture work together. A fast shutter speed dictates more light must enter the camera. A slow shutter speed means less light is necessary. Combining different shutter speed and aperture combinations are very creative ways to make some interesting photographs.

White Balance: The way a camera sees light. The color tone of a photograph will vary quite a bit depending on the light source. Taking a picture under fluorescent or tungsten light will look completely different than under sunlight. A camera using auto white balance will compensate for these different lighting conditions.

How To Look For Embroidery Digitizers

You are looking for embroidery digitizers online and have a dilemma. If you are going to spend the money to get your embroidery pattern digitized, you want only the best there is to do the work for you.

How do you figure out who that is?

Your best bet is to go by how long and how much experience the company has with embroidery digitizing. If you are choosing the company by their website, look at the page that tells about the company. If it doesn't tell you about how long they've been in business, email them and ask. Once you get your answer, look at their site and find examples of their work. If there isn't anything on the website, you can email them and ask for images of samples sent back to you.

There are many factors you can use to choose an embroidery digitizer. You may find that the embroidery digitizers with the most experience operate in a different country. If you truly want the best, you will have to do your research.

Like anything else with choosing a company to digitize your embroidery pattern, this is going to be a mostly subjective search. You may find that the company you choose has more experience with the type of embroidery pattern you are wanting digitized.

Some companies are going to be better at small patterns. Others will have experience with larger ones. Looking at the websites, you can find out what they have experience with.

Instead of searching for 'embroidery digitizing' you can also search for 'embroidered items.' Now, not every company that comes up under that search will offer to digitize your embroidery pattern for you. However, chances are, these companies won't come up under the search for embroidery digitizing, but they will offer to digitize an embroidery pattern for you. Look for a link that says "if you don't see what you want, let us know." With this, they are offering to get an embroidery pattern digitized for you. Email them to see if they will just digitize the embroidery pattern for you or if you have to buy an embroidered item from them together with the digitizing.

Emailing a company about their embroidery digitizing services is a good way to find out about their customer service. If they take awhile to answer, if they are not clear with their answers, it's possible that their customer service is not as good as it could be or they could just be busy. Ask them what their turnaround is to see how busy they are.

If you are torn between several embroidery digitizers, find an embroidery forum and see if you can get opinions on who the best embroidery digitizing company is. You can specify that cost isn't an issue if you are worried that they will just give you the "best for the lowest price" type answer.

Once you decide on an embroidery digitizer for your pattern you can relax and enjoy being able to embroider the pattern that you wanted.

Gold Versus Silver Jewelry

Today the price of an ounce of gold reached close to an all time high. Today(March 7th, 2007) we’re at $644. The last time gold was higher was in 1980 when it reached an all time high of $615. Many people believe that the current values will continue to increase. Currently the price of gold is $110% above the 2001 year end closing. What does this mean to you, the consumer of fine jewelry? Simply put, gold has just about priced itself out of the reach of many consumers.

Now, what’s a girl to do? Gold is coming back into popularity right as we are reaching those all time high costs. There is a good answer.

If you really prefer gold jewelry to silver, you can pick a piece of sterling silver with a vermeil finish. Silver prices have almost doubled since 2001, too, but the big difference is that sterling silver is 12.00 per ounce (about 1/50th the cost of gold).

Vermeil (Pronounced vehr-MAY) is a term that means gold over silver.

Vermeil is a gold-plating process which was developed in France in the mid-1700s. In the 19th century, France banned production of vermeil because the process involved the use of mercury. Present-day vermeil refers to an overplaying of gold onto silver using a safe electrolytic process.

In the past, gold plating was notorious for wearing through to the base metal. Today’s technology makes that a thing of the past. The plating done today will last a lifetime with proper care.

Silver can be combined with either colored stones or with freshwater pearls. Because of it’s affordability it is possible to have an entire set of a triple strand silver and freshwater pearls necklace and matching bracelet with earrings to provide a stunning display of elegance at a very good price.

There are numerous affordable choices to suit your individual style.

Accentuating Your Look With Crystal Earrings

For women, a well-chosen pair of earrings can pull together a beautiful outfit. Nothing emphasizes an elegant hairstyle, gorgeous neckline, or healthy glowing skin like a pair of dazzling earrings. And as more and more women have come to discover, crystal earrings go a long way to providing sophistication, style, and versatility.

Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend but they can also be very expensive. And very expensive earrings are not to be worn everywhere because, quite simply, the risk of losing or damaging them is too great. Crystal earrings, however, while affordable, can be just as lovely as a pair of diamond earrings. Their affordability allows you to purchase several pairs that you like without having to worry about their safety. Also similar to diamonds is the versatility that crystal earrings offer. Whether you are dressed up or down – for casual daytime wear or elegant evening wear – crystal earrings will complement your outfit without overshadowing it.

But just because they are versatile doesn’t mean that crystal earrings are boring. Their beauty lies in their simplicity but the styles and colors in which they come in are extensive. You can find crystal earrings in a variety of beautiful colors, shapes, and sizes. Whether you prefer studs or drop design, you’ll always be able to find the crystal earrings you desire.

Crystal earrings can be found everywhere from the corner jewelry shop to your nearby department store. Styles and prices range depending on where you shop. You can also find a beautiful selection of crystal earrings online that you can purchase from various Internet shops. And in this scenario, there is also the added convenience of shopping from home.

Crystal earrings make a wonderful gift for someone you love or a lovely treat for yourself. Whether you’re wearing jeans or an evening gown you will always look sophisticated and well put together with a pair of crystal earrings.

Creating Gift Baskets For Women

If you're looking for a gift idea for a woman, whether it be her birthday, Mother's Day, or Valentine's Day, gift baskets make an excellent choice. Creating a gift basket for a woman is a relatively easy task. To begin, you should focus on the likes and interests of the woman for whom it is intended. What is her favorite color? What does she like to do in her spare time? Does she have any specific hobbies or interests? Does she enjoys flowers, gardening, cooking, or a little bit of pampering? Once you have identified what she would most likely enjoy, the next step is to decide upon an appropriate theme for her gift basket.

Gardening Gift Baskets Brighten Her Day

A garden theme gift basket for women could be easily created with a quick visit to any specialty garden store or other major retailer that has a garden center. An area designated to gardening should provide plenty of ideas like new garden gloves, vegetable and flower seeds, a new hand shovel, hand rake and perhaps a garden apron. In addition, an instructional book on gardening would provide educational reading. Also, the inclusion of a garden journal would provide an opportunity for her to plan and record the seasons gardening successes.

A Woman Enjoys the Gift of Relaxation

A “relaxation or Pampering” thematic gift basket for women would focus on items that would help the recipient relax. A local retail store could provide a relaxation compact disc with calm and soothing music. Aromatherapy candles in lavender, rose or vanilla scent would be a popular choice to include in the basket. In addition, lotions, shampoos, conditioners, body soaps and bubble bath in a scent matching the candles would enhance the aromatic quality of the women’s gift basket. You could also include a bottle of wine, a wine glass and a bath pillow, to enhance the entire relaxation and pampering theme.

For the Love of Prose

If your gift ideas travel along a more literary path, a gift basket for women that focuses on reading and writing would be well recieved. Any bookstore or sources on the Internet can provide a quality list of literary choices for nearly any taste in literature. In addition, they also sell journals, fancy pen and pencil sets, decorative bookmarks, mini reading lights and a wide variety of magazines. After choosing the literature and literary accessories of your choice, you might want to include a coffee mug and a bag or coffee or collection of teas. The image of the items included in this gift basket would make any woman want to snuggle up with a good book and warm blanket and relax.

Pampering is a Safe Theme for Gift Baskets for Women

The most important part of building a gift basket for women is to have a clear idea of the passions or interests of the person you intend to give the basket to. If the gift is for a woman you know very little about, the best idea would be to create a pampering gift basket with a mild floral or fruit scented theme. In this way, the gift, while being a bit anonymous in it’s focus, would contain items that any woman would enjoy and appreciate.

Diamond Rings!

Why not give her something special......... like diamond rings?

The uniqueness of the form of diamond rings has fascinated lucky women and powerful men through the centuries.

Get Organized Before You Begin Building Your Wood Doll House Kit

As with any project, putting together a doll house kit requires some organization before you begin. Perhaps you are like many of us and tend to jump right into projects without taking the time to prepare properly. This may work well for some hobbies, but when putting together a wood dollhouse kit, it is best to develop a few good habits that will enable you to be more efficient and better organized in the end.

The first thing is to make sure that you have all of the necessary dollhouse building supplies that you are going to need before you begin. Ensure that your knives are sharp and that you have extra blades. Double check your supply of hot glue sticks and check your marking tools to make sure that they are working properly. Nothing is more frustrating that reaching a crucial point in your project and suddenly discovering that you don’t have what you need.

The next step in getting organized is to inspect the kit and make sure that you have all of the proper pieces before you begin. Take the time to label each piece. Use a pencil and erase the mark later. Label the pieces with numbers and create a corresponding list with the instruction diagrams. You will be able to find each piece quickly and easily once you begin the building process.

The third idea creates a workspace that is organized and free of clutter. Instead of collecting all of your dollhouse building supplies in a box or a rubber tub, invest in a storage unit that has individual compartments. Your tools should always be in the right place so that you can locate them quickly when you need them. Label some bins for extra parts and supplies so that you can take a quick, glancing inventory of what you have.

Fourth, become a good note taker. Buy a notebook to write down any tips that you might want to remember. Keep the notebook handy as you read hobby magazines and take note of any good advice that you read from other wood dollhouse kit builders. You may also want to use the notebook to record any mistakes that you make. This is a great way to ensure that you don’t make the same mistake twice.

The fifth step is perhaps the simplest, but most important. When you are ready to assemble your doll house kit, make sure that you read the instructions from beginning to end before you start to build. This is a common mistake. If you do things out of order, it can ruin a project or an expensive wood dollhouse kit. Take the time to read the instructions. You will save yourself time, money, and unnecessary frustration.
